Privacy Policy

How Jurisa collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information — in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

This policy is provided as a starting template for the Jurisa website and should be reviewed and tailored by a qualified legal adviser before publication. Last updated: 2026.

Jurisa Pty Ltd ("Jurisa", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By using our website or engaging our services, you consent to the practices described here.

1. The information we collect

We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our functions and activities, including:

  • Contact and enquiry information — your name, work email, phone number, company or firm, role, and the details you provide when you contact us or request a discovery call.
  • Client engagement information — information exchanged in the course of delivering services, which may include documents and data you provide to your Jurisa team.
  • Candidate information — where you apply for a role, your CV, qualifications, work history and related details.
  • Technical information — website usage data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring URLs, collected via cookies and analytics.

2. How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you — for example when you complete a form, email us, or engage our services — and, where relevant, from third parties such as recruitment platforms, with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law.

3. Why we collect and use it

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request;
  • manage and improve our client engagements and quality of delivery;
  • assess and manage candidate applications and recruitment;
  • operate, maintain and improve our website; and
  • meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Disclosure of your information

We may disclose personal information to our personnel and trusted service providers who help us operate our business and deliver services, on a strict need-to-know basis and subject to confidentiality obligations.

Overseas disclosure. Jurisa's service delivery involves qualified professionals based in Sri Lanka. As a result, personal and client information may be accessed by, or disclosed to, our team and infrastructure in Sri Lanka for the purpose of delivering services to you. We take reasonable steps to ensure any overseas recipient handles your information consistently with the APPs, including through contractual confidentiality and data-protection commitments, access controls and secure systems. Where you provide us with the personal information of third parties (for example, within documents), you confirm you are authorised to do so.

5. How we protect your information

Data security is central to how Jurisa operates. We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal and client information against misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These measures include:

  • secure, access-controlled delivery facilities and managed devices;
  • role-based access controls and the principle of least privilege;
  • encryption of data in transit and, where appropriate, at rest;
  • signed confidentiality undertakings and non-disclosure agreements for all personnel;
  • working within client-provided systems and environments where preferred;
  • staff training on confidentiality, security and privacy; and
  • defined data retention and secure destruction practices.
Confidentiality and security are not features we add on — they are the foundation of every Jurisa engagement.

6. Cookies and analytics
